"HELP! MY GIRLFRIEND IS SENDING ME TO PRISON!"
"My name is [X]. I am 24, going on 25 in July. I have a stable job, a college degree, I’m a skilled musician, I’m a songwriter, and I have a decent amount of savings and investments. I have things going for me in life but I feel like I’ve hit rock bottom. My two year relationship, with the girl I thought I would marry, just ended in the last few days of April. The relationship ended in a burst of flames, that resulted in me being arrested under false pretenses. I can no longer speak to her because there is a no contact order in place until the case is over. I lived with my girlfriend from August of last year until April of this year. In that time, I was consistently trying to work out a variety of problems with her, always in a peaceful manner, but her rage would grow with time. She became emotionally, and eventually physically abusive. She cheated on me, nearly 10 times. She threatened my property. She would storm out of the house semi-regularly. Her upbringing was not good, and I was aware of this but when things were not bad, she truly was my best friend. I loved her passionately and was always willing to work out our problems in a peaceful conversation. I don’t know what EXACTLY I should type here but I would like to raise some points during our conversation about her constant desire for attention, validation, and connection to people who did not care for her. I am deeply saddened by the ending of our relationship, both because of the legal scenario I am in, as well as the loss of the girl I loved so passionately. Everyday has been brutal to me. I’m constantly in anxiety and my only “coping” mechanisms are just distractions. I honestly hate waking up in the morning and once again being confronted with the reality I must live through. Thank you for reading this, and I really hope I can speak to you Stefan."
